Ohio

In June we went to Ohio with Jen’s parents and little sister. We had a fun time, except for the part that some of us got the stomach flu or something like that! Other that we had a great time! We stayed at Apple Valley Resort in Howard.

We went to the Longaberger basket-making company

 

This is a covered bridge on the Mohican Valley Trail.

 

We were staying in Amish country, so we came across a bunch of buggies on the road.

 

As we were driving along this road, we soon found out that it was under 2 or 3 feet of water. So, we decided to do a u-turn on the narrow road and find another route.

Some took a tour on this Amish farm and learned a lot about their culture. Jen had just thrown up in the restaurant bathroom and decided to relax in the car with her mom!

Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky. Only BJ, my Dad, and Natalie went to the amusement park. The rest stayed back trying to feel better! I think they had fun, except that it started to rain so they had to leave early.

We went to Kirtland for the day. We really enjoyed this day!

Our ride for the week. Notice Jen stuck in the back! Natalie was sitting back there until Jaden decided to throw up on the first day then I got to sit back there after that! Except for the day I threw up! We thought he was getting car sick, but then we got sick too!

The John Johnson Farm. This is where the events took place of when a mob came one night and dragged Joseph out of the house and tarred and feathered him. Then he preached from this same porch! I really enjoyed this place! Jen, Jaden, BJ, Leon, Laraine and Natalie.

Jaden watched most of "Muppet Treasure Island" with Natalie on the flight home. Thanks Natalie for entertaining him for a bit!!
